Our first meeting
of the entire team. We would become like family over the following
weeks. We would bicker like family, laugh like family, and
even cry like family. The summer experience of 1998 has become
one of my greatest memories. To all of the friends I made while in Scotland. I miss you all. God be with you and protect you. |
Bill, Andrea, and I all
meet in Amsterdam airport on our way to meet the rest of the
team in Inverness. Inverness is near Loch Ness, home of
the infamous Loch Ness Monster!
|
Lynn McLure, loved being
behind the camera, but hated being in front. She hid from
the camera as much as possible.
|
The four Americans packed
up in a van and headed to Inverness to meet the two Scots.
As you can see Lynn is again trying to hide from the camera,
but is denied by Andrea.
|
Neil Person, the quiet-thinker
types upon first impression, really showed us his full range
of personality during our summer together.
|
Bill Myatt, prepared to
help us lead music over the trip. He prepared praise songs,
solo works, and sing-a-longs for the kids and students.
|
Stuart Gilmour, the comedian
of our two Scots, brought a whole new light to everyday situations.
Without Stuart and Neil, our summer would not have been the
same. We Americans learned so much from our Scottish brothers
in Christ.
|
Andrea McDaniel, with her
sweet smile and charming personality, ministered not only to
the girls in the churches but to us as well. Her encouraging
words and gentle touch softened some of the trying situations
with great finess.
|
Loch Ness, a huge lake surrounded
by moors and hills, is home of the legendary Loch Ness Monster.
|
Upon arriving at the castle
in Inverness, we were greeted by a field full of cows!
|
Even along the sides of
the road there were great scenes of beauty and photographic
pleasure!
|
The team together for an
afternoon of touring. Even Neil, and Stuart had not seen
much of Scotland.
|
Almost always finding the
two Scots together, they were constantly ready for a couple
of pictures.
